size M (4-10kg) NEXGARD – Chewable tablets to prevent and treat ticks, lice, fleas, demodex mange, sarcoptes for dogs

Dosage is based on the table below to ensure a dose of 2.7 – 6.9 mg/kg body weight:

For dogs weighing over 50 kg, combine several tablets as appropriate.

Treatment schedule: Use once a month during the tick and/or flea season, based on local epidemiological conditions.

Treatment of flea infestation in dogs (Ctenocephalides felis and canis) for at least 5 weeks. The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy to control flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).

Treatment of tick infestation in dogs (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus), one tick treatment lasts 1 month.

Fleas and ticks must be on the host and begin feeding to determine their exposure time. For fleas (felis), the drug is effective within 8 hours; for ticks, the drug is effective and will kill ticks within 48 hours of contact.

How to use: NexGard tablets are chewable and palatable to most dog breeds. If the dog does not take them directly, they can be mixed into food.

NOTE:

–     When treating pregnant and lactating dogs, a veterinarian should be consulted.

–     Parasites become infected with afoxolaner when they start feeding on the host, so the risk of parasitic disease transmission cannot be prevented.

–     When treating dogs less than 8 weeks old and / or dogs weighing less than 2 kg, a veterinarian should be consulted.

–     Remove the product from the blister immediately after use. Place the remaining blister in a carton for storage. Wash your hands after using the product.

Discard the blister after use and unused medicine according to current hazardous waste regulations.

OVERDOSE:

No adverse reactions were observed in healthy Beagle puppies over 8 weeks of age when treated 5 times with the maximum dose and repeated 6 times at 2 – 4 week intervals. In Collies, diarrhoea and vomiting were observed when treated with a 5-fold overdose (25 mg/kg body weight).
